Hit the road for a just under 4hour drive to Truckee, an alpine town 20min North of Lake Tahoe nestled to the East of the National Forest.
If you time it right, you can catch sunset at China Cove Beach, grab a beer at The Good Wolf, and then head up to your campsite for the night at Lower Little Truckee
Start your morning with a hike along a portion of the Tahoe Rim Trail, putting in at Brockway Summit.
Grab a quick bite & coffee at Treehouse Cafe and then head to Speedboat Beach to relax, or hop on some paddle boards. Check out Incline Village and then head North to Sierra Hot Springs to take a dip under the stars and set up camp for the night.
You’ll wake up nestled in the trees on the property of Sierra Hot Springs. Take in the sights and sounds, hop in the springs again, and get on with your day.
Take a 2.4 mile hike along Cottonwood Creek. Have lunch out the back of the van and then head to Cold Creek Campground to hangout at camp.
After spending time in your mountain paradise, you’ll make the 4hr journey back to San Francisco.
