Follow the giant tree-lined roads north
You’ll spend the day driving 6.5hrs up the 101 to Six Rivers. Make a pit stop in Humboldt Redwoods State Park and coast down the Avenue of the Giants for surrounding views of iconic Redwood Trees, lush green ferns, and gorgeous roads.
Set up camp along Klamath River and wind down in your Cabana with sounds of flowing water & views of tree lined, starry skies.
Start your morning along the river, coffee in hand, and head out toward Salmon Mountain for a morning hike along the Salmon Summit Trail.
About an hour back South, you’ll find the quaint little town of Willow Creek. You’ll set up camp here for the night but before you do, grab a photo in front of the Willow Creek Sign and check out the Bigfoot Museum. End the day at Miles Garrett Wines for a glass (or two) of local, natural wine.
An hour west, you’ll find the epic California Coast. Head here for the day and relax with the views of Sue-Meg State Park
Stop at the store in Willow Creek to stock up on your favorite snacks, beverages and lunch items. Prepare your meal out the back of the van kitchen and enjoy your lunch with a view. Walk along the coastal cliffs and up to Wedding Rock for even more panoramic views.
And so the trek back begins. Make as many pull-offs as you like as you head back to San Fran.
