Lucky us, Napa Valley is right in San Francisco’s backyard!
An hour and a half is all that awaits between your Cabana pickup in San Fran and the ever so lovely Napa Valley.
On your way up to your campground at Steele Canyon, stop in town at Oxbow Public Market and make your first decisions on what to eat, drink and see. Once you make it to your campsite, pick a spot to set up - with your Cabana, or not - and watch the sunset over Lake Berryessa.
Take the scenic drive into Yountville to visit Bouchon Bakery in the morning. Pull off at Fir Canyon Falls for waterfall views to break up the 45min drive.
Visit the Napa Valley Museum. Head over to Handwritten Wines for a glass and then to Velo Deli & Pizzeria for a quick bite. For your final stop before heading back to Steele Canyon, head 20min East to the Caves at Soda Canyon - you’ll taste wines in caves nestled in the hills.
Robert Mondavi opens at 10am, you can be their first guest or, go when you’re ready. Carefully make your way to your hand-picked collection of wineries, maybe Mayacamas & Chandon, as you move south through Napa. Wind down at the Skyline Wilderness Park before heading back up for your last night under the stars.
Slow roll your way back to San Francisco. Take in the sights and sounds at Steele Canyon, grab a bite & coffee at Winston’s, stop at the Grape Crusher Sculpture, and begin your wine detox.
